OUR STORY

Hi, my name is Sara and I'm the owner and the artist behind Shiso Paper.

I have a background in scientific and technical illustration and have always had a strong interest in the beauty of urban wildlife around me. Working in the corporate world for a number of years, my desire to explore and paint the natural world helped drive me to create Shiso Paper and share my love of stationery, my two shibas and the wildlife all around me where I find inspirations from every day.

When I'm not working, I enjoy scenic walks by the lake with my dogs & my partner and spotting wildlife. On any given weekend, you might also find me in a local garden center, trying to find any plants in need of rescue.

 

When the 2020 pandemic started, I grew to love gardening and decided to name my shop after the Shiso plant, one of the very first plants (and the favourite) in my veggie garden.
